Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life
The best thing that can happen to an unbeliever is salvation Salvation becomes the principle through which we see other things. We see the goodness of God and its consistency from salvation.
The Lessons We Can Get from the Message of the Cross
From the message of the cross we can see that whatever the enemy meant for evil will al ways turn for good.
John 16:33
In this world you will have trouble But take heart I have overcome the world
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.
Genesis 50:20
You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done the saving of many lives
This shows that God can make a straight line even with a crooked stick.
2. Lesson of Forgiveness
God forgave all your sins and forgets them, so who are you to hold others to account?
Matthew 6:12 (CEVDCI)
Forgive us for doing wrong as we forgive others
Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you
This shows that the free gift of salvation also comes with a responsibility, that we should forgive others even when they do wrong to us.
It might be easier said than done, but we need to forgive others. We need to see the perso n who wronged us and let it go.
3. Death Has Lost Its Sting
As Christians we are not afraid of death because we know there is an afterlife. As believers, when we lose someone we can grieve, but we do so like one who has hope.
John 3:16, 18 (CEVDCI)
God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die
No one who has faith in God’s Son will be condemned. But everyone who doesn’t have f aith in him has already been condemned for not having faith in God’s only Son
4. Lesson of Selflessness
One of the greatest examples of an act of selflessness in Scripture is Jesus laying down his life for us, even when we were sinners and He was without sin.
John 15:13
No one has greater love (nor stronger commitment) than to lay down his own ide for his friends
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us
This lesson teaches us that we should learn to place others above ourselves. We should learn to invest our time and resources in others, and we should learn to look into the interests of others.
